“Product Prototyping in IoT” course at IISc

I’m writing this post to share about the course “Product Prototyping in IoT” that I’m offering with Dr. Vijay Mishra (CTO of CeNSE, IISc) at the Center for Continuing Education, Indian Institute of Science. The course is offered for Engineering Graduates (BE/BTech any branch) and MCA/MSc graduates with keen interest in Internet of Things and product prototyping. Its a two credit certification course from the Indian Institute of Science starting from the second week of January 2019 - every Thursday 6PM to 8PM. I’ve been offering courses in Indian Institute of Science for last couple of years and I have had great time sharing my knowledge in IoT with my students, who are mostly working professionals from both Corporate and Academic world. I also invited experts in the field of Sensor technologies, Cloud Computing, Design Thinking, AI, Machine Learning, Business model canvas for IoT Products, etc. The courses were designed with an intention of developing a product prototype that they choose to build. We hosted the demo day and called it as “ProtoFaire” at the end of the course to showcase the prototype developed by the students to the public. In the previous courses I had limited the prototype development in Industrial IoT and Smart Cities & Campuses, however this time the students can develop prototypes in any area of their interest with IoT involved in it.
